POLICE ARE URGING all holders of expired firearm licences to renew them as soon as possible.

Public relations officer Inspector Roland Cobbler reminded such people that having a firearm in their possession without a valid licence constitutes a criminal offence.

“In an effort to have this issue resolved amicably, all persons who have not yet renewed their licences are being encouraged to do so at the earliest opportunity,” he said in a release. (PR/NB)
