Relay Fair time

ATHLETES FROM BARBADOS’ schools and clubs will be seeking to dethrone the formidable Cougars of Trinidad and Tobago when the 14th annual Ensure Barbados Relay Fair is staged at the National Stadium tomorrow.

The island’s most exciting athletics meet starts at 10 a.m. and will give an early hint of the contenders on the track for the Barbados Secondary Schools Athletics Championships (BSSAC) as they battle for the inaugural Leroy Harper Memorial Champion School Trophy.

The Cougars, who dominated last year’s meet, winning the Girls’ Under-11, Under-13, Under-15 and Under-17 age groups, will be joined by compatriots, Bishop Anstey.

Other overseas schools competing are Bermuda’s Cedar Bridge and Middle School and Thomas Saunders Secondary of St Vincent, who are returning with 19 athletes. (EZS)
