CELEBRITY STAR, sister to Derby winner Northern Star, is tipped to upset favourites Black Rock and Fleurette in today’s feature Grandstand Posse and Bubba’s Sports Bar Classic Trial over 1 570 metres at the Garrison Savannah.
The race, reduced to six starters, promises to be a thriller nonetheless as the Mervyn Rollins filly seeks to exit the maiden ranks after several consistent returns. This action will unfold around 4:35 p.m. in the penultimate race on the nine-race programme.
Favourite Black Rock, unbeaten at this 1 570 metres trip, leads five other horses, four of whom have tasted victory.
The Luther Miller III-owned Black Rock looks a tower of strength and together with stablemate Fleurette, who races in the colours of wife Susan Miller, they look inseparable on paper having won five races to date.
