HAYNES HAWKS (Red House) were in full flight as they soared to victory yesterday at Alleyne School Sports at the National Stadium.
The new champions accumulated 1051 points, ahead of second placed Read Rottweilers (Yellow House) who ended the day with 947 points. In third place was Cumberbatch Spartan Striders (Green House) with 796 points, while last year’s champions Alleyne Bolts (Blue House) brought up the rear with 765 points.
Four records were broken during the day’s events.
Brienna Boyce broke the Under-13 girls’ record in the 400 metre race, finishing in one minute 03.70 seconds, to better the previous record set in 1980 by Donna Haynes.
