A LEVEL OF hostility not seen before is beginning to creep into negotiations between unions and statutory corporations.
A senior member of the BWU said that the issue of hostility had surfaced as that union attempted to meet around the table with the management of the Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation.
The two parties are yet to return to negotiations after an abrupt ending when the corporation declared that it was too broke to afford the 10 per cent wage increase demanded.
The board of CBC is expected to meet today to discuss the conditions at the station after bouts of reported sickness slightly disrupted operations but did not offset the scheduled delivery of popular programmes, including the prime time CBC Evening News. (AC)
