AVRIL SUE is Barbados’ latest road fatality.

The 37-year-old of Clevedale, Black Rock, St Michael, became the tenth person to die on Barbados’ roads, after being involved in a one-car crash in the early hours of this morning.

According to police reports, the crash occurred around 3:40 a.m. along Watts Village Road, St George, and Sue died at the scene.

The police revealed preliminary investigations suggested Sue was the lone occupant of the car and the vehicle struck an embankment, causing her to lose control before colliding with nearby cut rock.

Sue was an employee of an international offshore company based at Harbour Road, St Michael

Her grieving mother Brenda Sue today remembered Avril as a quiet, fun-loving daughter.

Brenda had last seen her daughter last night.

“The last thing she told me was Mummy, I gone,” her mother told NATION Online this afternoon.

The Royal Barbados Police Force is also appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the accident or can provide any information to contact District ‘B’ Police station at 437-4311 or 430-7625. (BA)
