Student stabbed at UWI

A 21-YEAR-OLD University of the West Indies student was treated at Sandy Crest Medical Centre today after being involved in a stabbing incident at the Cave Hill Campus.

Police say Akindele Licorish of Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael was involved in an altercation with another student.

He received stab wounds to his hands and right side and was later treated and discharged from the St James medical facility.

Investigations are continuing into the incident which occurred around 6:45 p.m.. (PR/SAT)
