CHARLES LYNCH is the new president of the Barbados Cycling Union (BCU).
Lynch was elected unopposed to replace the long-standing cycling chief Keith Yearwood, who did not seek re-election when the long overdue annual general meeting was held at the Barbados Olympic Association’s headquarters in Wildey, Wednesday night.
Attorney-at-law Keith Simmons and Charlie Pile were also elected unopposed as the first and second vice-presidents respectively.
Allan Kelly is the BCU’s secretary with Carol Kelly as assistant secretary and Nicholas Staffner taking over the post of treasurer.
Delroy Newton is the new racing secretary. He defeated Livingstone Headley, who had held the post for the past few years, 22 votes to six.
Former president George Edghill also defeated Susan Weekes for the position of floor representative on the executive committee. (EZS)
