DERRICK GARRETT isn’t about to tell anyone where they can play.
Apparently, the Barbados Amateur Basketball Association (BABA) boss isn’t worried about players making super teams, figuring this year’s top flight will still be very competitive despite the rise of Urban Vybz St John’s Sonics.
Garrett expressed the sentiment following Sonics’ huge off-season haul heading into this year’s Co-operators General Insurance Premier League.
“I wouldn’t say I have a problem with players forming super teams because I have seen super teams being brought down. I was part of a team that brought down to a super team in the 80s, so I have no issue with it,” said the former schoolboys and Cavaliers forward. (JM)
