WELL BEFORE midday yesterday Brathwaite (Gold) were the clear winners at Ellerslie Secondary School’s Inter-House Championships at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex.

Gold (845.50) were runaway winners, leaving Gooding (Green 706) to settle for second place for the second straight year, with Straughn (Blue 668) third and Trotman (Red 540.50) fourth.

At lunchtime, it was virtually impossible to catch Gold even with 21 events left.

Sadly for Blue, despite the sterling efforts of victor ludorum Ori Edwards and victrix ludorum Asia Foster, they still could not gain enough points to overtake Green.

Edwards won the Under-17 Boys’ 100, 200 and 400 metres along with the long jump. He had claimed the 800 metres at the school. He was second behind J’Barri Inniss (Red) in the 1 500.
