Dear Christine,
I HAVE BEEN reading your daily column and I would like you to help me with a problem.
I am 27 years old and in love with C, who says he loves me, yet every time I look around I see him with one particular girl all the time. I cannot say anything to him about her.
I work in a City store and one day he came into the store with her. Christine, he got on as though I did not exist. He said nothing to me.
The next night he turned up at my house. I questioned him about the previous day and he told me that it’s me first and anyone after. What should I do?

Dear L.D.,
You are the one who will have to decide whether or not you are happy with the current arrangement of you being first and anyone else after. Surely it is not unreasonable for you to expect him to be faithful to you. It is felt that men with steady girlfriends and wives will sometimes stray.
But if they really care for those special women in their lives, they are not going to flaunt the girlfriend in their faces like your friend has done.
For all you know, he probably also tells the other girl that she is No. 1 among his girlfriends.
If you are willing to share, that’s okay. If you are not, then let him know – and let him go.
