“BUSH HALL’S finest” road tennis player Marson Johnson may yet become Silver Hill’s greatest.

That is after the taxi driver Johnson pulled off another Houdini-like escape in the Silver Hill Road Tennis Competition when the action continued on Sunday night.

After surviving a marathon against Dario Hinds on Thursday night, Johnson in obvious back pain and showing visible fatigue, battled from 14-17 in a decider to defeat Adrian Scott 21-14, 19-21, 21-18.

Johnson had taken the first game from Scott out of St Lucy with an injection at 20-14 which rocked the crowd. Johnson then seemed in need of injections himself as the attacking Scott looked as brilliant as his new fluorescent pink and yellow shoes to storm back and even the battle. (KB)
