MINISTER OF FINANCE Chris Sinckler’s Monday press conference has been given the thumbs up by the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW).
Specifically, NUPW president Akanni McDowall said that he was pleased to hear the positive economic report, as to him it meant public sector servants should now be able to get their much needed salary increase.
Yesterday, McDowall told the MIDWEEK NATION that the union was taking the cue about the economic climate from the minister, who on Monday gave assurances about the state of the economy.
“I am somewhat pleased with some of what the minister would have said. We have to take the temperature from the minister,” McDowall said. (AD)
