SOME UNIVERSITY of the West Indies students are on the cusp of completing their education at Cave Hill with uncertainty about their job prospects in a difficult economic climate.
With job prospects so slim, one student told the DAILY NATION he intends to start his own business after first gaining experience, while another is looking to relocate to another regional island to find work.
Two others said they would have to aggressively seek out jobs relevant to the areas they were studying because some local companies had not publicised themselves enough.
The students expressed their views as they visited a number of booths yesterday at the third annual job fair hosted by the campus’ Office of Student Services. (WILLCOMM)
