GENERAL MANAGER of the Barbados Olympic Association (BOA) Glyne Clarke has urged junior badminton players to strive for higher accomplishments.
He was speaking at the junior national championships prize-giving ceremony at the BOA headquarters last Wednesday evening.
Clarke told those gathered that they should set realistic goals while attempting to climb the ladder.
“Most of you young people don’t just leave home to go somewhere without knowing where you are going. It’s the same thing when setting goals. You must know where you want to get and the only way to know how to get there is to make a plan,” he said.
Barbados Badminton Association president Shari Hope said she was hoping for the ceremony to act as a motivator for players who believed they had more improvements to make. (RG)
