14 injured in accident along Green Hill Road

FOURTEEN PEOPLE, including two cyclists were injured in an accident along Green Hill, St Michael around 8:30 this morning.

Postman Jomo Bascombe, 36, and pillion rider Cojoe Bascombe, 24,  both of Bank Hall, St Michael, were among the most seriously injured.

Jomo received head, facial and left thigh injuries, while Cojoe suffered injuries to his back, hands, feet and neck. They were both transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.

Jomo is listed as serious but stable.

Twelve people aboard a route taxi driven by 36-year-old Tone Yearwood of Eden Lodge, St Michael, including the conductor, complained for minor injuries to the neck and back and opted to seek private medical attention.

A fence was also damaged in the accident.
