Bonner taking fight to Pride

BRIDGETOWN – Leeward Islands Hurricanes, replying to the Barbados Pride’s first innings total of 313, reached 106 for eight at tea on the second day of their sixth round match in the Digicel Regional 4-Day Tournament at Kensington Oval here Sunday.

Fast bowlers Kemar Roach, with three for 22 and Miguel Cummins, three for 24, have been the most successful bowlers for Barbados Pride while captain Kevin Stoute has two for 29.

Nkrumah Bonner has struck eight fours in an unbeaten 52 off 127 balls in three hours at the crease.

Fast bowler Gavin Tonge was the only other batsman to reach double figures, scoring 17 in a seventh-wicket partnership of 43 runs with Bonner.

Leewards’ captain Kieran Powell has not batted in the innings due to illness.
