We will never fail, says Sinckler

BARBADOS NEVER FAILS.

That was the proud declaration of Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler in the House of Assembly yesterday to those he accused of peddling rumours of the country’s imminent demise.

“Some outside and even some inside of Barbados, for their own self-determined purposes, have decided that Barbados has failed.

“They and they alone are the arbiters of success, the determinants of failure, lords of the game . . . and as I speak are performing final political rites on the Government, on the economy and on Barbados and on Barbadians,” he said as he led off debate on the Appropriation Bill 2017 on Government’s Estimates of Revenue and Expenditure.
