BAJAN BASKETBALL had a presence at the NBA’s big showcase.

Junior national forward Tower Lorde got the experience of a lifetime last month when the talented teen witnessed the All-Star Weekend live from New Orleans.

The 15-year-old Lorde was part of a group of 80 young Caribbean hoopsters who were selected to attend the exhibition festivities from the Digicel Jumpstart Clinics.

“That was mind-blowing and I still can’t believe I was there to see it all,” said the gifted St Michael schoolgirl.

“All-Star Weekend is something I would watch home on TV so it was just a huge shock for me to see all the players and that level of basketball so close.” (JM)
