Villa give Newbury KO blow

AFTER AN unimpressive 2016 season in Division 1 netball, Newbury All Stars returned to the safety of Division 2.

Well that would be after their encounter with Guardian General Pride of Villa that launched the knockout season on Monday night at the Netball Stadium.

Newbury suffered the misfortune of drawing Division 1 Villa in their first and only outing in the knockouts and were mauled 62-40.

Insult was added to injury for the St George team with their key attacker from last season, Khadija Domingo, turning out for Villa and helping to inflict some pain on her former teammates. (KB)
