THERE WERE upsets in all divisions when the National Dominoes Association’s Four-hand League slammed off with 14 matches at the home of Mount Gay on Spring Garden Highway on Sunday.
Last year’s champions, Carlton and A1 Braves, started their title defence with an easy 76-60 victory over newly promoted Mount Gay KC Joint.
Runners-up E. Pamela Small Vauxhall were stunned 74-62 by another promoted team, Welchman Colts, who won the First Division title last year while Speightstown manhandled Police 81-59, gaining a bonus point in the process.
Outstanding players for Speightstown were John Bynoe and Dwight Jordan, who dished out three six-loves en route to 21 points. (EZS)
