Road Safety Association: Fix those lights

SOME HIGHWAYS ACROSS Barbados are still pitch black at night.

Road safety officials have already noticed a marked increase in vehicular accidents for 2017, including a record number of fatalities in the first three months of the year.

And on three of the country’s main highways, darkness still abounds.

President of the Road Safety Association, Sharmane Roland-Bowen, is upset that so many areas remain dark, and she is hoping no more lives are lost due to a lack of visibility on the country’s most used highways.

She is also pleading with Government to fast-track the repairs of lights, especially along the troublesome ABC Highway.
