BEFORE IT WAS officially announced, there was no doubt The St Michael School had taken both titles in the Frank Blackman Zone of the Powerade Barbados Secondary Schools’ Athletics Championships.
The Martindale’s Road Cougars dominated in both the track and field events at the National Stadium yesterday to retain their title in the girls, while the boys ousted defending champions Burger King Lester Vaughan to secure their victory.
At the end of the day’s events, the lasses had raced to a whopping 383 points, well clear of Lester Vaughan’s 255.50 points, while The Lodge School settled for third place after earning 208 points.
