A CHANGE OF name for the events of the Barbados Association of Dragsters & Drifters (BADD) is among the highlights for the official curtain-raising events of the Bushy Park Motor Sport Inc (BPMSI) and the Barbados Cycling Union as they feature in a triple-header race meet at Bushy Park tomorrow.
At a presentation ceremony yesterday at Courtesy Garage, chairman of BADD, Jason Downey, told those present that the club had changed its event name from Drag Warz to Launch Control and he was pleased with the high number of early entries for tomorrow’s action.
“New year, new name, reduced fees and it has resonated with the drivers and we are expecting a large entry for our first event of the new season. It is looking very good at this stage. We had close to 50 vehicles at track day, so it was a very encouraging turnout ahead of our opening event,” Downey said.
