WEST INDIES BATSMAN Shai Hope hit the second double century of his first class career to pilot Barbados to an imposing 480 for three declared yesterday.

Then the Barbados Pride bowlers enhanced the home team’s position with a series of timely strikes against the Guyana Jaguars on the second day of the Digicel Regional 4-day match at Kensington Oval.

The 23-year-old Hope added a further 97 runs to his overnight unbeaten 118 to finish unbeaten on 215, the highest score by a Barbadian batsman against Guyana in regional competition. His marathon knock erased the previous score of 204 held jointly by Peter Lashley and Garry Sobers.
