THE VECTOR CONTROL UNIT of the Ministry of Health will continue its fogging programme next week, in an effort to reduce the mosquito population on the island.
On Monday, a team will head to Christ Church to spray Pilgrim Road, Parish Land, Parish Land Link Road, Providence, Durants, Ardens Road, Limestone Drive, Liverpool Boulevard, Manchester Close, Platinum Heights, Â Callender Court, Wilcox Ridge, Gibbons Terrace, Pegwell Boggs and the environs.
The following day, fogging exercises will take place in the St Peter districts of Battaleys, Road View, Sweet Home Road, Cemetery Lane, Mullins, Mullins Terrace, Gibbs, Gibbs Glade, Crick Hill, Mount Standfast, The Garden, Taylor Road, Fox Club, Reid Gap, Husbands Road, Store House Road and surrounding areas.
On Wednesday, two teams will journey to St Thomas and St Michael to spray Melrose, Edgehill, Edgehill Terrace, Edgehill Heights, Shop Hill, Nazarene Gap, Grand View, Christie Village, Padmore Village, Warrens Development, Welches Heights, Warrens Terrace and neighbouring districts.
The next day, March 30, fogging will take place in the St George districts of Glebe, Glebe Land, Rowans Park with Avenues, Walkers Park, Thorpes Cottage, Flat Rock, Lower Estate, Parish Land, Charles Rowe Bridge, Airy Hill and the environs.
On the final day, Friday, a team will return to St Michael to spray Two Mile Hill, Haggatt Hall, Barkers Road, Neils Tenantry, Rouen Road, Belle Gully, Tichbourne, Howell Cross Road, Ivy with Avenues, Back Ivy, Skeetes Road, Gittens Road, Government Hill and the surrounding areas.
Householders are reminded to open their windows and doors to allow the spray to enter. Fogging will take place between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. each day. (BGIS)
