Man rescued from burning house, nothing saved

A MAN has been hospitalised after he was trapped and had to be rescued from a blazing house in Bromefield, St Lucy this morning.

Nigel Corbin, 59, of Bromefield No 2, is now a patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital after he was rushed there by ambulance.

Nothing was saved from the house which was gutted.

Fire officials report they received the call around 10:33 a.m.

Eight firemen in two tenders, one from St James and the other from Bridgetown, responded to the blaze.

Lawmen are investigating. (HLE)
