SOME ST JAMES CENTRAL residents are still boxed in.
This was one of the points highlighted by Barbados Labour Party (BLP) constituency representative Kerrie Symmonds, who said there was still tenantry land in the area where people did not have the correct level of access nor did they have their titles.
He made this assessment yesterday as the Opposition Barbados Labour Party continued its Rub Shoulders initiative in Fitts Village. He explained that issuance of titles was once done by the Urban Development Commission but he questioned why more had not been completed, since it was a legal procedure.
Symmonds claimed that though the problem had lessened over time, progress had stopped when the ruling Democratic Labour Party took office. (TG)
