CATHERINE JORDAN is still president of the Athletics Association of Barbados.

Earlier tonight during the annual general meeting at The Lester Vaughan School, Jordan shrugged off the challenge from former athlete Gabriel Burnett to win 82-19.

One vote was spoilt.

In the battle for first vice president, Noel Lynch also kept his post, defeating Sheena Gooding 78-21.

Both the incumbent secretary and treasurer retained their posts after the challengers withdrew. Treasurer Wendell Mason was initially up against Mernette Forde, while Sean Dupigny withdrew against Trevor Welch.

Four others were elected unopposed: Dr June Caddle for second vice president; Ayesha Maycock for assistant secretary; Andre Procope for assistant treasurer and former president Esther Maynard is public relations officer.

Bryan Holder (74) and Maureen Dottin (69) are the floor members.
