EMPLOYERS ARE BEING urged to add clauses to employees’ contracts so they “don’t have an out”.
The advice was given by Dr Nella Ann Roberts, chief executive officer of High-Impact Consulting Group, to chief executive officers and human resource managers at a workshop at Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael yesterday.
Her comments came after participants expressed concern about the new Employment Rights Act being slanted towards employees, allowing them to hide behind the phrase “that is not my job”.
They also claimed that a section of the act, which expunged infractions and warnings after a year, also worked in favour of employees. (HLE)
