PORT OF SPAIN – West Indies had Pakistan on the ropes, but let their advantage slip before losing the second Brighto Paints presents Q Mobile Cup T20 International at Queen’s Park Oval yesterday.
West Indies’ problems against 18-year-old Shadab Khan continued in Port of Spain. The Pakistan leg-spinner grabbed four wickets for 14 runs from four overs yesterday as the two-time World Twenty20 champions were restricted to 129 for eight off their 20 overs in reply to Pakistan’s 132 all out.
Khan took three wickets for seven runs in the first match of the series in Barbados last Sunday, which Pakistan won by six wickets.
“We started beautifully, bowling and in the field, but I think we let it slip in the last five overs or so,” Windies skipper Carlos Brathwaite said after the match. (Trinidad Express)
