BARBADOS and Guatemala are still on level terms. No surprises there.

Both teams are exactly where they want, and expect to be following yesterday’s eventless first day of a Davis Cup Group II Americas tie that predictably saw opposing straight-sets opening singles wins at the National Tennis Centre.

Playing at home for the first time in 17 months, Darian King put on a show for his fans in a routine 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 victory over Luciano Ramazzini after Christopher Diaz similarly rolled over hometown boy Adam Hornby 7-5, 6-0, 6-2.
