Playing at home for the first time in 17 months, Darian King put on a show for his fans in a routine 6-2, 6-1, 6-1 victory over Luciano Ramazzini after Christopher Diaz similarly rolled over hometown boy Adam Hornby 7-5, 6-0, 6-2.
The resulting 1-1 scoreline, and the easy margins of victory came as no real shock considering the chess match between both non-playing captains, who opted not to play their respective No. 2s against King and Diaz. (JM)
