Day of Sport a big success

THIS YEAR’S THIRD International Day of Sport For Development And Peace has been a resounding success.

This was the unanimous response from officials at the event held at Gall Hill Playing Field, St John, on Sunday.

The International Day of Sport for Development and Peace is celebrated each year on April 6. This year the Barbados Olympic Association, Pinelands Creative Workshop, UNICEF and the American Embassy joined together to host a day of sporting activity for communities across the island.

Director of the National Olympic Academy, David Farmer, said the event was growing and more people were reached. (RA)
