FIRE DESTROYED ONE house and slightly damaged another at Lower Carlton, St James this morning.
The destroyed home was occupied by 61-year-old Grafton Goodridge who said he was sleeping when the blaze started.
“I was in the house sleeping and I heard a man call out to me to get out of the house because it burning and I got up and ran outside as fast as I could . . . . Now I realise that I lost everything in the fire, including my identification card ,” he told NATION ONLINE.
Goodridge said he was however thankful to be alive. (RL)
