PROMINENT BARBADIAN ENTREPRENEUR Ralph “Bizzy” Williams has started his quest to boost the island’s foreign exchange earnings through involvement with Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workspace solutions.

Williams is the franchise holder for Regus through Williams Offices (Caribbean) Limited. Regus was launched here ten months ago and late last month a new Regus Business Centre opened in Invader’s Bay Tower, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Williams has said there are plans to expand to Jamaica, Guyana, and St Lucia as part of his goal to boost foreign exchange.

Speaking at the opening of the new Regus, Williams said: “We are very pleased to be able to bring the world class Regus products and services to Trinidad and Tobago. Our partnership with Regus allows us to not only diversify our portfolio and grow our footprint in the region but it also allows us to support businesses as they look for better ways to work.

“Companies of all different sizes are realising, especially with changing technologies, that there are more efficient ways for them and their staff to work these days. We are looking forward to bringing this brand of flexible workspaces to other Caribbean territories in the not too distant future.”

Officials said the Trinidad and Tobago Regus was the first of its kind there, offering 61 offices of varying sizes, 172 work stations, two meeting rooms, including a boardroom, and two business lounges.

Domhad Properties Limited has partnered with Williams Offices in the venture.

Speaking during a recent tour of the facility, Trinidad and Tobago Minister of Trade and Industry, Senator Paula Gopee-Scoon said: “This new Regus Centre will be a great addition to the business landscape of Port of Spain and it levels the playing field for smaller businesses who can now share these workspaces with larger global businesses. I wish Regus continued success as it takes its brand not only across Trinidad and Tobago but across the region.”

Regus has a network of 3 000 locations across 120 countries and 900 cities, serving 2.3 million members. (SC/PR)
