Man held with more than 120 rounds of ammunition

A 62-YEAR-OLD MAN was charged with unlawful possession of 128 rounds of ammunition.

Pat Thomas, 62, a Dominican national with American citizenship, was held on Thursday at the Grantley Adams International Airport.

According to police, Thomas arrived from the United States and during a search by customs officers, the ammunition was discovered  in two pairs of socks in his luggage.

The police were informed and Thomas was arrested.

Thomas appeared before Magistrate Douglas Frederick in the District ‘A’ Court on Saturday. He was remanded to HMP Dodds to reappear in the District ‘B’ court on the April 19. (PR/SAT)
