THE BARBADOS DEFENCE FORCE Sports Programme (BDFSP) dropped more points in the title race as they allowed a two-goal lead on UWI Blackbirds to slip when the Digicel Premier League continued at the Wildey AstroTurf on Thursday night.

A first-half Akeem Hill brace for BDFSP was enough to cancel out Corey “Santa” Barrow’s opener for UWI. Shaquille Boyce’s strike early in the second put BDFSP in control of proceedings, but Dario “Ears” Harewood’s sixth and seventh goals in just three starts denied the BDFSP side a much needed win.

Harewood’s late goals secured a hard-fought point for UWI and subsequently handed the initiative back to Wales, who are now two points clear of BDFSP with a game in hand.
