Police want information on fatal fire

POLICE ARE APPEALING to the public for information about the fire which claimed the life of a man yesterday.

The charred remains of 56-year-old Cedric Beaumonte McCarthy were found by fire officials who responded to a blaze at Clarke’s Road, Free Hill, Black Rock, St Michael.

The fire which broke out after 9 a.m. destroyed two houses and caused minor damage to two others.

Anyone who has information that can assist in this investigation is asked to contact the Black Rock Police Station at 417-7500 or 417-7501, police emergency number 211, Crime Stoppers at 1-800 –TIPS (8477), or the nearest police station.
