FORMER PARLIAMENTARY representative for St Michael South East, Hamilton Lashley, is throwing his full support behind three new candidates selected by the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) to contest the next general elections.

The DLP last week released the names of the candidates in Henderson Williams for The City, replacing Patrick Todd; Rodney Grant for St Michael South East, in for Patrick Tannis, and Nicholas Alleyne in St Michael East, pushing out Kenny Best.

Best and Todd served just one term in the House Assembly after winning their respective seats in the 2008 general election.

Tannis was narrowly defeated by 12 votes by the Barbados Labour Party’s (BLP) Santia Bradshaw in the last general election.  (JS)
