DEFENDING FOOTBALL champions UWI Blackbirds and Brittons Hill played to a 0-0 stalemate when the two sides met in the Digicel Premier League at the Wildey AstroTurf on Tuesday night.

UWI, who were reeling from a 1-0 loss to Paradise on the weekend, would have come into the game expecting the three points against their lower table opposition.

Brittons Hill however, were not in much of an obligatory mood, and displayed the type of improved performance that has allowed them to pick up their first two wins of the season in recent weeks.

UWI had captain Mario Harte back in the starting line-up for the first time in weeks, after a combination of injury and lacklustre form kept him out of the side. (ML)
