THE RANK AND FILE of the Barbados Labour Party, led by political leader Mia Mottley, have gathered at the Queen’s Park Steel Shed to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the party’s founding.

Party chairman George Payne read the first lesson, while the congregation, clad mainly in red, was entertained by singer Kareem Agard.

Mottley is slated to address the congregation later in the service.

Wreaths will also be laid at the grave of National Hero, the Right Excellent Sir Grantley Adams, in the Cathedral Church of St Michael and All Angels. (HLE)
