Fertility clinic thriving

ONE THOUSAND, NINE HUNDRED and sixty-five babies and counting.

The Barbados Fertility Centre (BFC) has given new life to families in Barbados and beyond.

The Eastern Caribbean’s lone internationally accredited fertility facility has put Barbados on the map, and is now helping more Barbadians create families than ever before in its 15-year existence.

Consultant gynaecologist with the centre, Dr Juliet Skinner, revealed that local customers now make up just under 20 per cent of their overall business, as Barbadians were finally realising the quality of in vitro fertilisation care available in their own backyard. In addition, hopeful couples from many other parts of the region are flocking to Barbados for assistance in getting children.
