Sir George bows out

CHANCELLOR OF THE University of the West Indies, Sir George Alleyne, was showered with accolades at a ceremonial dinner marking his retirement after a 14-year tenure at the helm.

Sir George’s colleagues from the university community, diplomats, parliamentarians, senators and other guests said farewell at the black tie affair hosted by principal of the Cave Hill Campus, Professor Eudine Barriteau, at the Errol Barrow Centre For Creative Imagination on Wednesday night. (GC)
