Heartfelt thanks from ‘Brudda Daddy’

HE STOOD TALL, delivered wisecracks – as he is known to do – and gave a touching and inspiring message to the hundreds of people who turned out at Laff-It-Off to show their support.

“I have every confidence in the medical team and we’ve been talking together, working together. Trust me, it’s going to be good, it’s going to be all right,” declared comedian and MC Antoine Brudda Daddy Williams.

Those words of confidence and strength were conveyed at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Saturday night ahead of his surgery, scheduled for today at the Bayview Hospital. Williams has been diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer.

“There has been an outpouring, a groundswell, of support in every regard and it lifts my spirit, it really does,” he said.
