THE BARBADOS Revenue Authority (BRA) is asking businesses, financial institutions and members of the public to be vigilant as fake cheques, purported to be from that body, are making the rounds.

A media release today from BRA says all financial institutions have been alerted.

The Authority advises cheques should be cashed at commercial banks and warns entities which accept such cheques as payment do so at their own risk.

Persons with any suspicions of false cheques should contact the Authority at 430-3101 or [email protected] or inform the Royal Barbados Police Force. (PR/SAT)
