West Indies lead by 183 runs

BRIDGETOWN – West Indies reached 264 for nine off 102 overs at the close of play on the fourth day of the second cricket Test against Pakistan in the Brighto Paints Q Mobile Cup series at Kensington Oval here Wednesday.

The not out batsmen are leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo on 16 and fast bowler Shannon Gabriel, who is yet to score.

With one day left in the match, the West Indies have an overall lead of 183 runs with one wicket in hand, after trailing by 81 runs on first innings.

Resuming from 197 for four at tea, the West Indies suffered a middle and lower order collapse, losing five wickets, including top-scorer Shai Hope, who made a responsible 90, for 67 runs in 32 overs.

The 23-year-old Hope batted for 317 minutes, faced 209 balls and hit eight fours and a six in his career-best Test knock.

Other batsmen dismissed were Vishaul Singh for 32; captain Jason Holder, who made just one, Shane Dowrich for two and Alzarri Joseph for seven.

Leg-spinner Yasir Shah, who also dismissed Kraigg Brathwaite for 43 in the pre-lunch session, has been Pakistan’s most successful bowler with six wickets for 90 runs in 39 overs.
