Belle Pumping Station to be shut down for installations

THE BARBADOS WATER Authority (BWA) wishes to advise the public the Belle Pumping Station in St Michael will be shut down between 4 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday

This is to facilitate the installation of two pumps to increase the water supply at the station.   

Low water pressure and outages may impact residents and commercial customers in parts of St Michael and Christ Church. 

In St Michael the areas which could be affected are The City of Bridgetown, Belleville, Carrington Village, Belmont Road, Halls Road, Martindale’s Road, Constitution Road, Roebuck Street, The Bay Land, Clapham, Tichbourne, Chapel Gap, The Pine, Wildey, Waterford, Bush Hall, Spooner’s Hill, White Hall, Grazettes, Cave Hill, Codrington, Brittons Hill and the surrounding areas.

In Christ Church, St Matthias, the South Coast from Hastings to Oistins, Fort George Heights, Marine Gardens, Rendezvous Gardens, Welches, Sargeant’s Village, Vauxhall, Sheraton and surrounding districts could be impacted.

Water tankers will be dispatched to assist essential services first therefore, the BWA is urging residents and businesses in these areas to immediately store an adequate amount of water.
