Sinckler: Worrell’s advice noted

GOVERNMENT HAS HEARD the recommendations of fired Central Bank governor Dr DeLisle Worrell, says his former boss, Minister of Finance Chris Sinckler.

But whether it puts them into action is another thing.

Sinckler was speaking on the sidelines of his annual scenic ride and picnic for seniors that took nearly 1 000 people to Bath, St John. The picnickers were drawn from his St Michael North West constituency and The City, led by Democratic Labour Party newcomer Henderson Williams.

The relationship between Worrell and Sinckler became acrimonious when Sinckler tried to fire Worrell, who later took unsuccessful court action against the move. The court ruled in the minister’s favour and Worrell was fired two months ago. (HLE)
