Man remanded in connection with Tuesday’s shooting

A 22-YEAR-OLD St Michael man was remanded to prison today after he appeared in the District ‘A’ Magistrates’ Court accused of serious bodily harm and use of a firearm.

The charges against Rashed Jabar Gittens of Belleview Gap, Waterford stem from Tuesday’s shooting incident at Water Hall Land, St Michael.

Twenty-one-year-old Rico Bovell, a resident of the area, received a gunshot injury to his left foot.

Gittens will reappear in court on June 8. (PR/NB)
