Mums’ day out

MOTHER’S DAY was about more than recognising the care and affection a mother shows a child. It was a way to honour and thank her for selfless acts of love.

Whether it was dining in fine style or taking part in a family-oriented activity, mothers across the island got an opportunity to sit back, relax and listen to how much they were appreciated by their children.

Eateries and hotels across the island, including the Hilton, Savannah and Radisson, and places of worship hosted families and close friends who had fun, food and good fellowship.

At the God’s Divine Word Ministries, located in Sky Mall, Haggatt Hall, St Michael, a special tribute was paid to Marjorie Bowen, who “adopted” the pastor of that church, Henderson Quimby, as her son. (SB)
